As everyone is aware the economy is in a dire financial situation no more so than with the massive cuts facing the voluntary and charity sectors. A result of this has meant we have unfortunately lost our Extended School services. We were incredibly sad to see this go as the homework club had been running for over 10 years and had improved the attainment level of many children. Funding for the PAT project (parenting apart together) which was a pilot project, has also come to an end. Although we were sad to loose these services Shantona is working harder than ever to carry on its vital work within the community.
Health Project
We provide services to the most hard to reach communities that do not otherwise have access to facilities until they develop severe or serious health problems. This year we have provided services to the community that improve well-being, promotes healthy choices, gives access to health services and ensures equality in local society.
